Sr. BI BOBJ Consultant

We are currently searching for a senior SAP BI technical consultant. The BI Consultant will develop a broad understanding of the programs and initiatives for our clients in the area of business intelligence and Data Warehouse. The SAP BOBJ BI toolset (Universe, Dashboard Designer, Crystal Reports, WEBI and Dreamweaver) will be used to improve work efficiencies and collaboration with internal and external entities within clients. Travel within Western Canada/USA is a possibility.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the Business Intelligence/ Data Warehousing space
• Current experience with design, development and implementation of SAP BusinessObjects BI Solutions (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, XCelsius, Explorer)
• Experience with SAP BI 4.0 an asset
• Experience designing multi-dimensional models and understanding of different methodologies and data integration processes
• Experience with SAP BusinessObjects Information Management tools (Data Services, EPM, etc)
• Experience with the integration of SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) would be considered an asset
• Full cycle implementation project experience (blueprinting to go-live)
• Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials
• Post graduate degree and/or a professional designation would be considered an asset
• Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
• Superior verbal and written communication skills and proven experience communicating with business users
• Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
• Canadian travel required. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments

• Experience in SAP and Microsoft security technologies

Senior Xcelsius Consultant

As an Xcelsius consultant within our organization you will have the opportunity to perform the following types of activities:

• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to define deliverables and develop solutions that are reusable across our client organizations
• Conduct research studies that may include collecting, analyzing, trending and presenting data and recommendations to management
• Perform project management duties including the creation of status reports, work plans, and presentations to client leadership
• Identify and document business process re-engineering opportunities including current and future state process flows
• Define, develop and document business requirements to ensure client needs are captured and delivered
• Participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test scripts, executing test cases and documenting defects
• Develop financial models and tools, including cost-benefit analysis, resource utilization models and performance reports
• Produce job aids, training material and instruction manuals for end-users
• Knowledge and experience using SAP BOBJ best practices for design and development of Business Intelligence systems
   

Qualifications

• 5+ years working experience with Xcelsius incl. 2008 SP3
• 3+ years experience with developing highly interactive dashboards including drill down functionality, filtering and changing data sets based on user interaction Solid experience in building dashboards leveraging Web Services using XML Experiences with QAAWS, BI Web services, Live office
• 3+ years experience interpreting business requirements into interactive dashboards
• 3+ years working in application development, understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Watefall)
• 2+ experience with Experience developing BOBJ Universes, reports, dashboards and scorecards
• Application design experience a plus
• 5+ Years of experience in SQL Queries is a plus
• Prefer candidates in Vancouver, BC
• Ability to travel required
